The colors are symbolic of:

The ancestral blood that courses through our peoples veins, the DNA of the original people that are native to not only the cradle of civilization, but the entire planet (red)! 

The illustrious complexion of the melanin rich epidermises that our Babas and Mamas, Wajobas and Shangazi,  Kakas and Dadas as well as Binamus, the children of Mama Afraka have, the hues of the Original Hue-mans and the color which all colors come from (Black)!

The vast and seemingly limitless amount of natural resources that Mama Afraka harbors and produces, and the nutrient-dense/mineral-ridden land that rests on top of them that produces the largest trees, the longest rivers and some of the most delicious and healthy fruits and vegetables that the world has ever seen (green)!

Last, but certainly not least, the sun, which charges us, gives us energy in conjunction with what the land offers and the ancestral data that is within our DNA, that activates our melanin and decalcifies our pineal glands by sun-gazing, and aides in the growth of not just plant life, but life in general (Gold)!
